I recently saw a post on BuzzFeed about how Maybelline had taken a complaint seriously from a (black) woman who was unable to find her perfect match. They listened to her feedback on the brand and the lack of diversity it offered and got to work. After a year or so later, with some work and production, the Maybelline Fit Me Range, the Dream Velvet Foundation range expanded to offer more for all skin shades and colours.

It’s brilliant to finally see more on offer from the beauty industry as one of my favourite brands, Lancôme, also celebrates women and diversity with the launch of their Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation campaign.
