So I Can Begin…

(mini musings…sunshine please come back!!)

As we enter into a new season, I’m amazed by the amount of personal change I have experienced.

Spring has always been one of the many signifiers of the new, of change, of a new lease of life, and, it just so happened to sit in quite aptly with my own developments.

The three main changes I’ll touch upon ever so briefly are that I left my full-time job to pursue the Arts, I’m visiting the Motherland (Ghana) for the first time as an adult and, I am entering a new phase of my life known as single-hood. Before you start to mock me, this is literally a new realm for me because the last time I was single, online dating meant Match.com and E-Harmony …that was it, no apps lol!!

All these changes are huge in scope and are demanding of strength and growth. They are very challenging but I won’t sit here and write about how depressing sh*t is because it isn’t. Yes, they have impacted me in ways I wasn’t expecting but it’s all been for the better. There is a new-found peace and lightness in my heart.

Change truly amplifies what is important to you. It helps to hone in on what your wants are and what your needs are. With every new day that beckons, here’s to rolling with the punches, the step ups and the falls…just make sure you always get up.
