Although sunscreen, sun protectors and sun glasses are all staple tools for your summer, finding a product to enhance your hard-earned summer glow, is also a must have. The Laura Mercier’s Bronzed Butter Face & Body Veil is such a product. Read on below to find out why.
To Glow or Not to Glow… Isn’t it obvious?
I am forever on the quest to glow like I have never glowed before. To be a beautiful, bronzed beacon of chocolate glory, no matter the weather, no matter the season. When I stumbled upon the Laura Mercier Bronzed Butter Face & Body Veil (£39), I just knew I had to give it a go!

Described as a lightweight, luminous bronzer, this body butter stands up to its description. Encased in a stylish, dark, sturdy case, the body butter has been created with a blend of oils and vitamins to provide nourishment to the skin while perfecting powders give a hint of colour. As it’s a creamy, product, I found that it quickly adapted to my body temperature, making it softer and quite easy to apply. Applied using your fingers tips or a brush, it literally glides on.
I found that starting with minimal product and coverage was the best way forward as it allowed me to build to the coverage I was looking for. On my skin tone, it provided a subtle, shimmery finish, accenting the yellow tones in my skin.

If you have oily to combination skin, this may not be the best product for you as the additional shine and soft, buttery feel might feel ‘ greasy’ or ‘heavy’ on your skin. If you also highlight the bridge of your nose, you may not want the added luminosity. In saying that though , when there’s a will, there’s a way as I have oily to combination skin.
To combat the oily shine – I am careful with the areas I choose to highlight and if that mean’s highlighting a ‘problem area’, I ensure I use something like my Dark Deep powder from Mac Cosmetics to combat the additional shine from my antics throughout the day.
