If you are anything like me, then you’re always on the quest for happier, healthier skin. I try to keep my skin care routine as simple as possible and the Boots Botanics Range has helped with that. Although I’m a fan of less is more when it comes to caring for my skin, I’m not opposed to an intensive, in-depth pampering from time to time.

Science x The Power of Plants

Having used the Boots Botanics range in the past and sometimes on my day to day, I’ve always liked the idea of the natural power of plants coming to our skin’s defences. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised and curious after attending a relaunch night of the brand.

The Boots Botanics range, in collaboration with Kew Gardens, focuses on a quite few areas, so there’s something for every skin type. To name a few, you might have dry, sensitive skin so the Hydration Burst products would be your go to range. You might want to focus on bright, radiant skin so the All Bright products or Radiant Youth would be for you. Each range focuses on something different, so take the time to explore and see what suits you!

Botanics SkinCare Must Haves

The products that caught my eye used plants extracts that were for these collections Organic (Rosehip extract) , Radiant Youth (Gingko extract), Hydration Burst (Clary Sage extract) and All Bright (Hibiscus extract).

Daily Cleansers:

The Botanics All Bright Cleansing Solution and *Hydration Burst Micellar Cleanser are both alcohol-free, gentle, make up removing micellar cleansers. I’ve never been the biggest fan of micellar solutions as it leaves my skin feeling tight and blurgggh….but these two (and only these two) have changed my mind. Please note, when you’re deciding what you want from the Botanics range, it’s important to know what you want for your skin.

Deep Cleansers

The *Botanics Organic Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm , Hydration Burst Dual Action Cleanser and Botanics Radiant Youth Microdermabrasion Polish are fab tools in your skin care collection. Depending on what you opt for, the dual action cleanser goes from a gel to milk as it cleanses and soothes your skin. If you want to work deeper than that, then the nourishing cleansing balm is for you. It sinks into your skin, leaving it happy and healthy thanks to the Organic Rosehip extract. The rich omega and essential fatty acids – leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. It was my least favourite in terms of smells but it didn’t disappoint when it came to proving itself! You could also opt to use the Radiant Youth Microdermabrasion Polish as it gently polishes away dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, boosting your skins brightness and luminosity.

Let’s Lock It In

After you cleanse, deep clean, soak and polish your skin, it’s important to seal all that goodness in. I prefer oils, lotions or creams that are light, moisturizing and easy to apply, After spending some time with each of the below, they suited my needs depending on how much I wanted to apply. Having a purse sized super balm pot meant that and sudden dry or tight patches could easily be dealt with!
