A girl can never have too many lipsticks and glosses, fact. That’s my motto. I have so many nudes, reds, pinks, peaches, berries and purple shades and I need them all. I truly do. I haven’t even begun to talk about the shades of glitter, blues, greens, oranges etc etc etc. I repeat, you simply can’t have too many!

MAVALA SWITZERLAND

I hadn’t heard about this brand until I received some samples and it was a welcomed introduction! These shades from Mavala Switzerland are in the Bloom Collection and the colours ranged from a light pink through to a darker, peachy nude, presented in a sleek and elegant box.

All in all, they are lovely summer and winter essential colours, packed with shea butter, vitamin E and aloe vera at £13.

The shades I explored, although gorgeous in colour, didn’t compliment my skin tone so I wasn’t able to do much with them. (No selfies, sorry!) I didn’t find the products easy to build (I did several passes on the swatches below) and the sheer finishes were too subdued for me. The standout shade for me however was “Alcea“, a very pretty deep pink shade. It was bold, pigmented and it POPPED! My lips felt protected, nourished and I loved it. I see it debuting in a GRWM vid in the coming weeks!

Although it wasn’t a complete win for me, I think the brand is worth exploring if you like your lipsticks lightweight, sheer and easy to apply on the go.
