The designer of Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs brought out some heavy weights, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Stella Tennant and Amber Valetta for the Louis Vuitton’s a/w 2011 presentation in Paris yesterday.
The 90s supermodels all walked in what can only be described as a phenomenal show which was all about nostalgia, fetish and crazy things that go on in hotels…. “hookers, chambermaids, wives, mistresses and other exquisite creatures” things he sees when he stays at Claridge’s hotel in London! Jacobs said:
We were thinking about obsession, fetishism and we thought about an old hotel, with its chambermaids and the affairs that go on there, the crimes and scandals. And we just wanted to reveal all the amazing creatures who passed through there,”
He went on to say, while explaining the ubiquity of the LV logo on his designs:
There’s this crazy, almost irrational desire for these objects, these things we create,”
