Pilates is in fact the most deceptive exercise ever. FACT.
I went to my first Pilates class yesterday as it is one of the many things I have meant to try for a very long time. For those of you who may not know, Pillates is a body conditioning routine that helps build flexibility, strength and endurance. If done properly, it allows you to develop a strong core, tones your body and improves coördination and balance. This is so perfect for me!
After scoping the scene, I decided to give it a go as it looked simple enough, very straight forward and you didn’t break into a sweat. My first session was with the sweetest instructor ever, totally calm and professional but by the end of the session, I was slightly mystified. I felt like I just did some interesting stretches for 45 mins, I mean really, is this what it’s all about?!
Today however, is a completely different story, OMG I’M FEELING IT – YIKES!! This is such an awesome physical fitness system. I’m sooo gonna be down next week !
