Skincare Winter Dry Skin

Skincare Winter Dry Skin

My skin hasn’t had the best of winters this year. I’m usually on the combination to oily side of the spectrum but since the weather change, I’ve had patches of dry skin. My usual products hadn’t helped or made much of a difference and it reached the point where it was quite worrying.

The Beginning

When I received the invitation to have a facial with a new product from Almora Botanica at the Varna flagship store, I was curious to see what benefits my skin would have. The concept behind Almora derives from Ayurveda, an ancient wellness and healing system that originated in the Indian subcontinent. Almora Botanica works with a focus on ‘the science of life’ (the literal translation of the word Ayurveda) to create products that replenish body and spirit.

I was treated with the Inner Beauty Dry Skin Face Scrub and the Glow Away Rejuvenating Facial Oil. The scrub (made from red clay and pomegranate) has a pretty orange colour to light, it’s usually left on for 15-20 mins and wiped away with a warm cloth. It is followed by the Glow Away Rejuvenating Facial Oil (hazelnut and xx )which proved to be a dream of an experience. Both products were light, not abrasive, not too fragrant and with lovely textures on your skin.

My skin after the facial was perfect, no dry patches or flaky skin to be seen anywhere. The instructions were to follow the same routine 2 or 3 times a week and by doing so, I’ve continued to receive the same results each time!
